Free Concerts, Fantastic Performers and Festivals Galore
The Hampton Beach summer calendar is filled with events that include exciting outdoor activities, competitions and festivals. The fun starts in mid-May and continues throughout the summer.
The brilliant fury, spectacular sound and chromatic colors of finely engineered fireworks light up the night over Hampton Beach every Wednesday evening at 9:30 pm from the final week of June to the final week of August. This weekly display emphasizes the friendly family environment that defines this vacation spot. There are also special fireworks dates, including Memorial Day Weekend, July 4th and Labor Day Weekend. Like so many of the events at Hampton, the fireworks are free.
Free concerts are a hallmark of the Hampton beach experience. There are over 80 concerts at the Seashell Complex’s amphitheatre, with various styles of music offered including country, oldies, rock n’ roll, blues and jazz. Most bands performance two one-hour concerts with standard starting times being 7 pm and 8:30 pm. There’s a free concert almost every night of the week in July and August. On Wednesday evening many vacationers attend the 8:30 show and then watch the magnificent fireworks display at 9:30.
Hampton Beach also hosts exciting contests and competitions, including Hampton Beach Idol, the Volleyball Tournament, the Masters of Sand Sculpting Event and the Catamaran Regatta races. The Miss Hampton Beach Pageant provides an evening of entertainment that results in judges selecting the young woman who will represent the community in the Miss New Hampshire Pageant.
Starting in mid-May with the awesomely powerful Tow Truck Rodeo and running through the first week of September with the ever-popular and tasty Seafood Festival, Hampton Beach is the entertainment and amusement hub of the New Hampshire seacoast.
