Hampton Beach Entertainment

Live Music, Splendid Fireworks and Relaxing Cruises

There's fine entertainment for the entire family and crowd-pleasing concerts and comedy for adults all summer long in Hampton Beach.

Some of the best things about Hampton Beach are free. The mile-long beach is free as are the concerts at the Seashell amphitheatre and the weekly Wednesday night fireworks that start at 9:30 pm. Fireworks, which are simply brilliant when they light up the sky and reflect off the ocean on a clear night, are also part of the Memorial Day, Fourth of July and Labor Day celebrations.

Concerts appropriate for the general public are one-hour long and offered each evening at 7 pm and 8:30 pm. Bands range in style and include country, Cajun, oldies, jazz and much more.

If you're looking to go out for an evening of drinks and entertainment, thousands venture every summer to the Hampton Beach Casino Ballroom, which is part of an entertainment complex that includes an arcade, food venders and shops. The "Casino," as its called, has a full summer slate of entertainers, such as Taylor Hicks, Travis Tritt, Trish Yearwood and George Thorogood and the Destroyers. You'll also see first-rate comedians, including George Carlin, Kathy Griffin, Lewis Black and Lisa Lampanelli.

The local music scene is rich in Hampton Beach with rock at Wally's Pub and the Boardwalk Café and Pub; reggae, blues and rock at La Bec Rouge Restaurant and acoustic at the Sea Ketch. Looking to sing some? There's karaoke at Palms Night Club and Stacey Jane's Upstairs at Club Madison. This is just a sampling of the music venues. Many pubs and restaurants have outdoor decks. Dancing is always in vogue at Hampton Beach clubs and pubs.

For the kids and the young at heart, various arcades dot Ocean Boulevard with video games, pinball, shooting galleries and skeet ball available. If you're looking to go out on a boat, there are numerous cruise providers that sale out from the State Pier in Hampton as well as from nearby ports located in Rye and Portsmouth.

Hampton Beach provides visitors with plenty to do day and night. Your biggest problem may be simply choosing what you're going to do on a given evening.
